Lene Nielsen has worked with personas for more than 20 years and was the first in the world to write a PhD about persons. She has helped companies in both the private and public sector develop, implement, and use personas.
Lene Nielsen’s research interests include many different aspects in the development and use of personas, including global personas, personas based on quantitative data, persona descriptions as communication to specific and different target groups, the relationship between persona description and data, the use of personas in agile development, personas in service design.
In addition, she researches democratic companies, including the digitization of start-ups, and the use of digital tools for democratization.
She teaches service design, with a focus on management and implementation.
